Sond pays tribute to music composer Charanjit Ahuja

Punjab’s Minister for Cultural Affairs, Tarunpreet Singh Sond, has paid tribute to renowned music composer Charanjit Ahuja, describing his death as the end of an era in Punjabi music. In his condolence message, Sond said Ahuja’s compositions were “soulful, timeless and unforgettable,” adding that they would continue to inspire generations. “Charanjit Ahuja’s melodies were not only unique and soothing but also unforgettable. He played a pivotal role in taking many singers to great heights while himself remaining deeply grounded,” the minister said. Sond noted that the void left by Ahuja’s passing could never be filled. “For music lovers, Charanjit Ahuja will remain alive in their hearts through his immortal tunes,” he added. Extending condolences to the bereaved family, the minister prayed for strength to relatives and admirers to bear the loss and for eternal peace to the departed soul.
