Rashmika Mandanna, the much-loved actress hailed as the “National Crush,” is gearing up for a blockbuster year. Set to star alongside Salman Khan in the highly anticipated action drama Sikandar, she is poised to capture hearts once again. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film is slated to release on March 31, 2025, marking Salman Khan’s reunion with producer Sajid Nadiadwala after a decade.
Beyond the silver screen, Rashmika recently offered fans a rare glimpse into her personal fears and favorites during an intimate Instagram Q and A. When asked about her biggest fear, the Animal actress revealed her struggles with heights and deep waters. “Hmmm… heights or deep waters,” she admitted. Despite this, she demonstrated unwavering courage at a Chhaava promotional event, scaling a theater rooftop while recovering from a leg injury—a testament to her fearless spirit.
A self-confessed K-drama enthusiast, Rashmika also shared her latest binge-watch list. She recommended It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and gushed over the Chinese drama The First Frost, calling it “so cuteeee!” Currently, she’s watching The Undercover High School and described Love Scout as a delightful watch.
On the professional front, Rashmika’s slate is packed with diverse roles. In addition to Sikandar, she will star in Thama alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, a supernatural thriller exploring vampire legends within the same universe as Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya. She is also stepping into Tamil cinema with Kubera, where she shares the screen with Dhanush and Nagarjuna. Offering fans a sneak peek during the Q&A, she revealed that Kubera is set for release on June 20, 2025.
Also in the pipeline is The Girlfriend, a film directed by Rahul Ravindran, further cementing her position as one of India’s most sought-after stars.
