Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday reaffirmed the Modi government’s commitment to boosting private sector involvement, emphasizing that achieving Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat depends on collective efforts. He expressed confidence that with increased corporate participation, India could rank among the world’s top three economies by 2027. Speaking at the Armed Forces Flag Day Corporate Social Responsibility (AFFD CSR) Conclave in New Delhi, Rajnath Singh lauded corporate contributions to the AFFD Fund, which supports war widows, children of fallen soldiers, and ex-servicemen, including those with disabilities. He honored top CSR donors at the event. The AFFD Fund offers financial aid for education, medical needs, and other personal grants for soldiers’ families. Singh called on citizens to contribute, describing it as a national duty to support those who defend the nation.

The minister highlighted the need for a ‘heart-to-heart connection’ with soldiers, urging the corporate sector to build a ‘balance sheet’ of satisfaction and happiness through their contributions.
