The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Punjab on Tuesday hosted an interactive session in Chandigarh with Sanjeev Arora, Punjab’s Minister for Industries, Commerce, Investment Promotion and NRI Affairs, to boost dialogue between the state government and business leaders. Delivering the keynote address, Minister Sanjeev Arora reiterated the government’s intent to make Punjab a top industrial hub. “We are here to listen, respond and work hand-in-hand with the industry,” he said, inviting industry players to actively participate in refining and implementing state policies.

An Open House followed, where members raised concerns and suggestions directly with the Minister and senior officials. The session reflected the government’s willingness to consider industry feedback and tailor reforms accordingly. Harpreet Singh Nibber, Vice Chairman of CII Punjab and CMD of Pritika Industries, delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a networking lunch, highlighting CII’s ongoing role as a bridge between the government and industry.

The event held at the CII Northern Region Headquarters on 30 July,  brought together senior industry stakeholders and government officials to explore new strategies for industrial development, investment promotion, and ease of doing business. Welcoming the dignitaries, CII Punjab Chairman Amit Jain – also the Managing Director of Shingora Textiles – emphasised the role of public-private collaboration in shaping a competitive industrial ecosystem. “Sustained engagement is key to creating a conducive business environment in Punjab,” Jain said.

Amit Dhaka, CEO of Invest Punjab, showcased government initiatives designed to attract investment. He said the state’s policies were focused on execution, transparency and building long-term investor confidence.
