Punjab showcases investment potential in Bengaluru, invites top industry leaders to invest

Invest Punjab successfully hosted a two-day engagement titled ‘Invest Punjab’s Interaction with Business Leaders’ in Bengaluru, receiving an enthusiastic response from top industry executives. The delegation was led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora. During the event, Arora held focused one-on-one and group meetings with major companies to present Punjab’s infrastructure, policies, and investment incentives. Among the key participants were Intel, Arjas Steel, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Idea Forge, Sonata Software, Royal Orchid Hotels, India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), and Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers, alongside senior leaders from technology and semiconductor sectors.

Arora extended formal invitations to these business leaders to invest in Punjab, underscoring the state government’s commitment to industrial acceleration, job creation and a pro-business climate. He also highlighted streamlined project facilitation and upgraded infrastructure designed to support faster execution.

The minister said Invest Punjab’s outreach included meetings with top corporates such as Hero Group, Amber Enterprises, ITC Limited, Varun Beverages, Medanta Hospital, OLA Cabs, Indian Hotels Company Limited (Taj Hotels), Genpact, GMR Group, New Holland Agriculture, Info Edge, and others for potential future investments.

He also pointed to brands already expanding in Punjab, including Nestlé, Freudenberg Group, Danone, Tata Steel Limited, ITC Limited, Hindustan Unilever, PepsiCo, Verbio AG, Infosys and Continental Device India Limited. Home-grown brands such as Hero MotoCorp, Monte Carlo Fashions, Cremica Food Industries, Trident Group and Sonalika Tractors have also contributed significantly to the state’s growth story.

Arora said Mohali has become a prime destination for IT, semiconductor, and data centre investments due to its infrastructure and skilled workforce. With Infosys expanding operations and top institutions like Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Indian School of Business, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali, and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, the state is positioning itself as an innovation hub.

He added that under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab aims to build a “New Punjab” with strong industrial growth and expanded economic opportunities.

The event was attended by key officials including PDC Vice Chairperson Seema Bansal, Industries Secretary K.K. Yadav, PSIEC MD Saurabhi Malik, Invest Punjab CEO Amit Dhaka, and representatives from KPMG.
