The Punjab Police on Saturday said that they have arrested two men in Bathinda who were allegedly planning to rob a local businessman. The suspects, identified as Jacky Kumar, also known as Jacky, and Vikas Arora, were held in a joint operation by the Anti-Gangster Task Force and Bathinda Police on Saturday, said Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav.

The Police said the pair were intercepted before carrying out the alleged robbery. Officers recovered two country-made .32 bore pistols, along with magazines and four live cartridges, from the men, Yadav said in a post on X. Preliminary investigations suggest the weapons were procured from Delhi.

Police also said that one of the accused, Vikas Arora, has a criminal record, including alleged involvement in a domestic violence case.
