Punjab Industry Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond has called Punjab an unparalleled destination for businesses and industries, highlighting the state’s peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous environment. Speaking at the flagship food trade show Indusfood, organized by the International Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) in Noida, Sond extended an open invitation to CEOs and delegates from national and international companies to explore Punjab’s industry-friendly policies and investment opportunities.
Sond emphasized Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s vision of boosting Punjab’s industrial growth, particularly in the food sector. He announced plans to organize an International Food Festival in Punjab this November, inviting global companies from the food and allied industries to participate and explore collaborations.
Indusfood saw participation from 3,500 exhibitors from 105 countries, showcasing the global food industry. As the event’s Chief Guest, Sond honored CEOs and delegates from renowned firms and held separate meetings with potential investors. He lauded the TPCI for bringing global business leaders together under one roof and suggested setting up a TPCI Punjab chapter to strengthen trade ties further.
Highlighting Punjab’s pro-business initiatives, Sond outlined the government’s single-window system through Invest Punjab, designed to ease the investment process. He assured comprehensive support to investors and stressed the state’s commitment to fostering industrial development.
Sond also showcased Punjab’s efforts to elevate state brands like Verka, Sohna, and Five Rivers to international prominence. He noted growing global demand for Punjab’s products as a testament to the success of these initiatives. The minister expressed gratitude to Punjab Food Commission Chairman Bal Mukund Sharma for supporting the state’s investment-friendly environment and congratulated TPCI Chairman Mohit Singla for the event’s success.
