When women are truly empowered, the nation becomes more self-reliant, prosperous, and undeniably progressive, said Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria at the Fempreneur Rising Stars 2025 Award ceremony in Chandigarh. Addressing the gathering at Raj Bhawan, Governor House, Kataria emphasized the importance of providing women not only with access to higher education but also with professional training and skill development opportunities. He highlighted how women’s courage and hard work continue to prove their excellence in every field.
Punjab Governor honored Rajiv Tiwari, Director of Public Relations Chandigarh, for his exemplary service to the Chandigarh administration, following the successful execution of the award ceremony.
The event, aligned with International Women’s Day, celebrated the remarkable achievements of women entrepreneurs making significant contributions to their communities and industries across India. Punjab Governor also honored an exceptional group of visionary women leaders, celebrating their diverse achievements across industries. Among the honorees were Rajni Bector, a pioneering force in the food processing sector known for her innovative and sustainable practices, and Sargi Mann, whose powerful voice has captivated audiences worldwide. Radha Bhatia, a leader in aviation and hospitality, was recognized for promoting India’s culture and heritage, while Blossom Kochchar was celebrated for introducing aromatherapy to India and building a natural beauty empire.
Dolly Jain, an artist who redefined saree draping as a modern form of self-expression, and Divya Chauhan, an education leader at Amity University advocating for quality learning, were also honored. Disha Malik, founder of Chiquemom & Guwahati Bloggers Tribe, stood out for her impactful parenting and lifestyle content. Classical singer Zila Khan, technology innovator Manisha Bhatia, finance expert Ankita Raj, and sustainability advocate Atisha Pratap Singh rounded out the distinguished list of awardees, showcasing the power of women driving change in their fields.
On this occasion Governor Kataria called for enhanced mentorship, resources, and funding for female entrepreneurs, emphasizing that empowering women is crucial for India’s continued progress. The ceremony, part of COWE India’s mission, aims to uplift women entrepreneurs through networking, skill-building, and access to funding.
COWE India’s National Treasurer, Meetu Puri, praised the strength and resilience of the awardees, saying, “Through the Fempreneur Awards, we acknowledge their successes and celebrate their enduring impact on society.”
