Chandigarh, June 18
Priyanka Chopra’s uncle and Mannara Chopra’s father, Advocate Raman Rai Handa, passed away on June 16 at the age of 71. The news was confirmed by Mannara through a statement shared on social media.
“With profound grief and sorrow we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family,” her note read.
Priyanka Chopra, who is Mannara’s cousin, also expressed grief. She posted on Instagram Stories: “You’ll always be in our hearts. Rest easy Raman uncle (Fufaji). Om Shanti.”
Her brother, Siddharth Chopra, reshared Mannara’s post with the message: “Will miss you Raman uncle 🙏.”
Raman Rai Handa is survived by his wife Kamini and daughters Mannara and Mitali.
Reports suggest, he had been unwell for a few days prior to his death.
The Chopra family had recently come together to celebrate Siddharth Chopra’s wedding. Priyanka, Mannara and other relatives were seen together at the festivities.
