Madhubani (Bihar), April 24
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday issued a stern warning to those responsible for the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, vowing that the perpetrators and their conspirators would face retribution “beyond their imagination.” The terror attack, which left 26 civilians dead in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, has been described by Prime Minister Modi as a brutal act that demands an uncompromising response. “Justice will not only be done—it will go far beyond what they can comprehend,” he declared during a public address.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the time has come to destroy whatever land remains in the hands of terrorists.
While addressing a gathering in Madhubani, Modi declared that the country’s resolve would not be shaken and that India would “track and punish” every terrorist and their backers. “From the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world: India will identify, pursue and punish them—even if it takes us to the ends of the earth,” he said.
Condemning the incident as an attack on the nation’s soul, Modi expressed solidarity with the victims’ families. “The way terrorists killed innocent people with such brutality—this has wounded every Indian. The whole nation stands with the families of the victims,” he said.
The Prime Minister highlighted the human cost of the attack, noting that victims came from all corners of the country. “Some spoke Bengali, some Kannada, some Marathi, some Odiya, some Gujarati—and some were from Bihar. Yet from Kargil to Kanyakumari, our sorrow and anger are the same,” he added.
He thanked leaders and nations that expressed solidarity with India and underlined that the fight against terrorism was a universal one. “Everyone who believes in humanity is with us,” Modi said.
