Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on October 30–31 to inaugurate several key infrastructure and tourism projects worth over ₹1,140 crore in Ekta Nagar, and to lead the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On October 30, the Prime Minister will travel to Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, where he will flag off a fleet of electric buses at 5:15 p.m. Later in the evening, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple development projects aimed at promoting eco-tourism, green mobility, and sustainable infrastructure around the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue.

Among the major inaugurations are the Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, the Hospitality District (Phase-I) at Garudeshwar, the Vaman Vriksha Vatika, and a Smart Bus Stop network (Phase-II). Other projects include the E-bus charging depot, Narmada Ghat extension, Kaushalya Path, and the Satpuda protection wall.

Prime Minister Modi will also lay foundation stones for new ventures such as the Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India, Veer Balak Udyan, Rain Forest Project, Jetty Development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat, and travelators at the Statue of Unity. To commemorate Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, he will release a ₹150 coin and a special postage stamp.

On October 31, Modi will offer floral tributes at the Statue of Unity, administer the Ekta Diwas pledge, and witness the Unity Day parade. The parade will feature contingents from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB, along with state police units.

Highlights this year include a BSF dog squad of Indian breeds like Rampur and Mudhol hounds, a Gujarat Police horse contingent, an Assam Police motorcycle stunt team, and the BSF camel-mounted band.

The event will honour Shaurya Chakra and gallantry medal awardees from the CRPF and BSF for their bravery in anti-Naxal and counter-terror operations. Ten tableaux from different states and agencies will depict India’s ‘Unity in Diversity’, complemented by a cultural performance by 900 artists.

The Prime Minister will conclude his visit by interacting with officer trainees of the 100th Common Foundation Course during the final session of Aarambh 7.0, themed “Reimagining Governance.” The programme includes 660 trainees from 16 Indian civil services and three from Bhutan.
