Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu on Wednesday for a series of religious and agricultural engagements.  Modi will begin his visit in Puttaparthi, where he is expected at the Mahasamadhi of spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba at around 10 am. He will pay his respects and take part in centenary celebrations marking the guru’s legacy. The prime minister will release a commemorative coin and postage stamps in honour of Sathya Sai Baba before addressing the gathering. Later, Modi will fly to Coimbatore to inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit, scheduled for 13:30 pm. During the event, he will release the 21st instalment of the PM-Kisan income-support scheme, worth more than ₹18,000 crore, benefiting about nine crore farmers nationwide.

The three-day summit, organised by the Tamil Nadu Natural Farming Stakeholders Forum, aims to promote chemical-free and climate-resilient agricultural practices. It will also focus on strengthening market access for farmer-producer organisations and rural entrepreneurs, alongside showcasing innovations in organic inputs, agro-processing, sustainable packaging and indigenous technologies. More than 50,000 farmers, researchers, natural farming advocates and industry stakeholders from across southern India are expected to attend.
