Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone and discussed developments in international diplomacy, including Putin’s recent meeting with US President Donald Trump in Alaska. In a post on X, Modi expressed his gratitude, writing: “Thank my friend, President Putin, for his phone call and for sharing insights on his recent meeting with President Trump.” He added that India has consistently called for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict and supports all efforts in this regard and looked forward to continued exchanges in the coming days.
