Karakat( Bihar), May 30
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday issued a sharp warning to those behind terrorism, declaring that India’s response to attacks, including the recent Pahalgam tragedy, would be “beyond imagination.” Speaking in Karakat, Bihar, where he unveiled several development projects, Modi invoked the might of Indian daughters and the armed forces, referencing Operation Sindoor.
“What is the power of the Sindoor of India’s daughters… this was seen not just by Pakistan but by the entire world,” Modi said. “Those who considered themselves safe under the Pakistani Army’s protection were brought to their knees in one stroke,” he added. Referring to the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, Modi said, “I came to Bihar the day after that heinous attack and made a vow. From the soil of Bihar, I promised that the hideouts and masters of terror would be destroyed.”
Turning his attention to the fight against left-wing extremism, Modi highlighted what he called a “decisive” reduction in Maoist influence across India. “Before 2014, over 125 districts were Naxal-affected. Today, that number stands at just 18,” he said, crediting infrastructure, employment, and improved security as key factors in curbing the insurgency.
“There was a time when people feared masked Maoists with guns appearing out of nowhere. Villages had no schools, no hospitals, and roads were sites of ambush. These people had no belief in Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution,” Modi said. “Since 2014, we accelerated efforts and began punishing Maoists for their crimes.”
He also paid tribute to BSF Sub-Inspector Imtiaz, who was martyred on May 10 while on duty at the border. “This brave son of Bihar sacrificed his life for Bharat Mata. I salute him,” Modi said. He concluded with a warning to adversaries: “What you saw in Operation Sindoor — that is just one arrow from our quiver.”
