Prime Minister Narendra Modi met US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Prime Minister Modi congratulated Gabbard on her confirmation and said they discussed key aspects of the India-U.S. partnership, noting her strong support for bilateral ties.

Prime Minister Modi arrived in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, expressing anticipation for his meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Modi said, “Landed in Washington, D.C., a short while ago. Looking forward to meeting @POTUS Donald Trump and building upon the India-USA Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Our nations will keep working closely for the benefit of our people and a better future for our planet. @realDonaldTrump.”

Prime Minister Modi received a warm reception from the Indian diaspora upon his arrival in the United States. Sharing details on X, Modi said, “A warm reception in the winter chill! Despite the cold weather, the Indian diaspora in Washington, D.C., has welcomed me in a very special way. My gratitude to them.”
