PepsiCo India has launched its “Anytime is Pepsi Time” campaign, directly challenging Coca-Cola’s “Half-Time” initiative during the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy tournament. Coca-Cola’s “Halftime” campaign, prominently featured on television and digital platforms, encourages consumers to pause and enjoy a Coke during halftime and other break moments. In a playful retort, PepsiCo has launched its “Anytime is Pepsi Time” campaign, suggesting there’s no need to wait for halftime when Pepsi is perfect for anytime according to the news outlet The Indian Express.
PepsiCo India has reignited the cola wars with its latest “Anytime is Pepsi Time” campaign, crafted by Havas India. A full-page print ad in The Times of India rebranded the national daily as “Any Times of India,” aligning with Pepsi’s message that every moment is ideal for enjoying a Pepsi. This strategy recalls Pepsi’s legendary 1996 “Nothing Official About It” campaign, where it cleverly ambushed Coca-Cola’s official Cricket World Cup sponsorship by highlighting its own presence during the tournament, India Today reported. The news outlet further said PepsiCo India’s recent “Anytime is Pepsi Time” campaign has ignited a social media frenzy, with users flooding platforms to share their thoughts on the brand’s clever wordplay. While many praised the nostalgic nod to Pepsi’s past marketing tactics, others
