Punjab Congress Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa has claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab is on the verge of a split, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann potentially following the path of Maharashtra’s Eknath Shinde. Speaking to India Today, Bajwa said that over 30 AAP MLAs are in contact with Congress and ready to defect. “Every single AAP MLA knows they have no future now. Many have been in touch with me for more than a year,” he alleged. Bajwa further suggested that the AAP government in Punjab is under serious threat following the party’s defeat in the Delhi elections. “The present government at the Centre will not sit idle after its victory in Delhi. A lot of things are going to happen now,” he warned. AAP has not yet responded to Bajwa’s claims. However, the remarks come amid increasing political tensions in Punjab, where Congress is looking to regain lost ground ahead of future electoral battles.
