The merger between Vistara and Air India is set to be finalized on November 12, 2024, creating one of the world’s largest airline groups. As per the news outlet India Today, starting September 3, 2024, Vistara flights for travel on or after November 12 will be redirected to Air India’s website, and all Vistara aircraft will operate under the Air India brand.

This strategic merger aims to strengthen Air India’s global position by combining the fleets and services of both airlines. Singapore Airlines will acquire a 25.1% stake in the newly enlarged Air India, further solidifying the merger, which was first announced in November 2022.
