Tamil superstar Nayanthara is set to star alongside Bollywood actor Salman Khan in filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally’s upcoming action drama, the makers announced on Wednesday. The film is produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, with production scheduled to begin later this month.

Taking to Instagram, the studio wrote, “The Queen Arrives… The epitome of versatility and excellence @nayanthara joins #SalmanKhanVamshiPaidipallyFilm. It’s an honour to have you on board for something truly special that’s underway.”

Nayanthara, one of South cinema’s most prominent actors, has delivered hits across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, including Chandramukhi, Ghajini, Billa, Raja Rani, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, and Viswasam. She made her Bollywood debut with the 2023 blockbuster Jawan, starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan, which earned over ₹1,000 crore worldwide under the direction of Atlee.

Vamshi Paidipally, known for films such as Yevadu, Oopiri, Maharshi, and Varisu, will helm the new project, while Salman Khan is simultaneously preparing for his next film, Maatrubhumi (earlier titled Battle of Galwan). The movie, directed by Apoorva Lakhia of Shootout at Lokhandwala fame, is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict between India and China.
