BJP president JP Nadda on Monday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 11 years in office as a transformative chapter in Indian history. Describing the period as one of unprecedented change and development, Nadda said it would be “written in golden letters” for the shift it brought in governance, policy, and political culture.
As the BJP-led NDA government completed 11 years in power, BJP president hailed what he called a “profound shift” in India’s political landscape under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, moving from a “culture of corruption and appeasement” to one of “transparency, accountability and performance.” In a wide-ranging address marking the anniversary, Nadda claimed the BJP government had not only delivered development but fundamentally altered the nature of governance in India. “It’s not just me,” he said, “but the common citizen of India who says, ‘Modi hai toh mumkin hai’ — if Modi is there, it’s possible.”
Framing the past decade as a historic departure from previous regimes, Nadda said, “Before 2014, there was a sense of helplessness, policy paralysis, and corruption. Today, there is optimism and belief. The political culture has shifted from negativity to positivity.”
Nadda asserted that the government had become more “responsive and answerable” to the people, citing a “new culture of report card politics” where achievements are openly shared and measured. “A transparent and futuristic government — that is what the BJP has institutionalised under Prime Minister Modi,” he said.
Emphasising the government’s guiding mantra — Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas (Together with all, development for all, trust of all, efforts from all) — Nadda positioned the 11-year milestone as a foundational chapter for Viksit Bharat, or a developed India.
Referring to the ongoing “Amrit Kaal” (a term used by the government to denote a golden age of progress), Nadda argued that these 11 years have laid the groundwork for the next phase of India’s national growth. “The service, governance and welfare delivered over this period will be written in golden letters,” he said.
