Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led government in Delhi for its failure to provide basic necessities like clean water, saying that while alcohol is easily accessible in the capital, clean drinking water remains scarce. He vowed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would run a major campaign to ensure water supply to all if the party came to power.

Addressing party workers under the “Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot” initiative via the NaMo App, Modi stressed the importance of strengthening BJP’s booth-level organization to maintain the party’s success in Delhi. He urged workers to connect deeply with every voter.

Modi also criticized the AAP government for focusing on luxury projects like a “Sheesh Mahal” while neglecting basic amenities and pollution control in the Yamuna. He pointed out the AAP’s failure to deliver on its promises to women in Punjab, such as financial assistance, and contrasted it with BJP’s accomplishments, including Ayushman Bharat, Ladli Behna Yojana, and the 8th Pay Commission.

Reaffirming the BJP’s commitment to youth empowerment, job creation, and transforming Delhi into a hub for startups and innovation, Modi urged workers to engage with first-time voters, highlighting AAP’s shortcomings in education, housing, and corruption scandals.

In conclusion, Modi urged BJP workers to connect with families, promoting the party’s developmental agenda and its vision for a “Viksit Delhi.” He emphasized the need for a “double-engine government” to transform the city into a global model of progress.
