Shimla, June 10

Congress national spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore has sharply criticised Centre’s foreign policy, calling it a “complete failure” over the past 11 years. Addressing a press conference in Shimla on Tuesday, Rathore claimed that the BJP-led government has weakened India’s global standing while exacerbating domestic economic instability. On foreign policy, Rathore criticised Centre government’s  approach to its relations with Pakistan, particularly in handling terrorism. He claimed that the US was positioning Pakistan’s leadership as strong and questioned why a ceasefire declaration came from Washington rather than from New Delhi, arguing that such initiatives should be led by India. Rathore concluded by asserting that the Modi government’s foreign and economic policies were against national interest and had damaged India’s strategic position.
