Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Monday to discuss advancing the strategic partnership between India and the UAE. Jaishankar shared the details of the meeting in a post on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his pleasure in meeting the Crown Prince and recalling Sheikh Khaled’s recent visit to India. The two leaders discussed ways to further enhance bilateral ties. Jaishankar also addressed the inaugural session of the Raisina Middle East conference in Abu Dhabi, where he highlighted the significant expansion of India-Middle East engagement over the past decade, fueled by strong trade relations, improved connectivity, and deepening people-to-people linkages. He emphasized the growing importance of this partnership in a rapidly changing global landscape, noting that India, with its expanding interests and capabilities, views the Middle East not just as a close partner, but also as a vital gateway to broader global opportunities.
