The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Response Force secured the first position in a competition on search and rescue operations held in Ghaziabad.
Uttar Pradesh SDRF finished second and the Andhra Pradesh SDRF secured third place in the National Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) Competition.
The event was held at the 8th Battalion campus of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, with participation from 30 teams representing around 27 states and Union territories.
The Himachal SDRF team has won the competition for the second consecutive year.
Along with this, the state’s team has also set a new benchmark by completing the tasks of the competition in a record time of 41 minutes, surpassing their own previous performance.
The trophy was presented to SSP SDRF Arjit Sen Thakur by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan in the presence of DG NDRF Piyush Anand during the closing ceremony.
