Haryana CM Saini likely to contest from Ladwa, Anil Vij from Ambala

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is expected to contest from the Ladwa assembly seat in Kurukshetra, rather than Karnal, in the upcoming Assembly elections. Meanwhile, former Home Minister and senior BJP leader Anil Vij is likely to contest from Ambala. This was decided during a BJP Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting, chaired by party president JP Nadda, with the participation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The meeting extended late in the night, finalizing around 55 candidates out of the 90 total seats.

Speaking to the media, Anil Vij, confirmed that the BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) has finalized the names of 55 candidates. He also expressed confidence that the BJP will secure a third consecutive term in government in Haryana.

Other key leaders who attended yesterday’s CEC meeting include BJP Haryana election co-in-charge and former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Haryana Chief Minister Saini, Haryana BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli, Satish Punia, Surendra Singh Nagar, Union Minister and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister and Haryana MP Rao Inderjit Singh, and Krishan Pal Gurjar.
