Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday issued a stern warning to terror groups and their supporters, declaring that “those daring to wipe off the sindoor of our sisters must know their end is near,” while declaring India’s recent military action — Operation Sindoor — as both a strategic response and a moral duty grounded in the nation’s cultural values.
Speaking at a public rally in Dahod, Gujarat, Modi referenced the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and said the operation that followed was “not just a military action but a reflection of India’s values and emotions.”
He described the attack, in which a father was brutally killed in front of his children, as a moment that ignited nationwide fury. “Such cruelty is not just a crime against one family — it is a challenge to 140 crore Indians,” he said.
Modi stated that in his role as Prime Minister, he gave India’s armed forces complete freedom to act. The result, he said, was a precision counter-strike in which nine terror hubs across the border were destroyed within 22 minutes — a scale and speed of response “unseen in decades.” He added that a retaliatory attempt by Pakistan’s military was decisively repelled.
From the symbolic setting of Dahod — a region rich in tribal heritage and patriotism — Modi saluted the armed forces, praising their courage, speed, and discipline. “This is the land of valour. From here, I salute our brave soldiers who gave a befitting reply to terror,” he declared.
Shifting tone from strategic to ideological, the Prime Minister condemned Pakistan’s actions and intent. “That country was born out of the partition and has lived with only one aim — to hate India and harm us,” he said. “In contrast, our nation’s purpose is to remove poverty, build strength, and drive development.”
As chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” echoed through the rally grounds, Modi’s message was both a reaffirmation of India’s counter-terror resolve and a signal that no act of brutality against civilians — especially women and children — will go unanswered.
