SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, successfully launched the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) GSAT-N2 communication satellite from the Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Tuesday. The satellite, designed to enhance internet services in remote regions and improve in-flight connectivity, was carried into orbit aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, praised the achievement, writing on X, formerly Twitter: “Kudos team #ISRO & #SpaceX for successful launch of #GSAT N2! Aims at enhancing internet services, including in remote areas as well as in-flight connectivity. With personal intervention of PM Sh @narendramodi, ISRO has been able to register one success after the other.”
