Una, April 6
A class 6 student in Una district of Himachal Pradesh, was allegedly sexually assaulted by five men after being held in a room overnight. All the accused are still missing, and police have started a search for them. The minor’s complaint states that the incident started on Friday evening as she and her sister were returning from a grocery store. A man named Kush allegedly stopped her, and when she tried to resist, four masked men joined him and forced her into a room, where she was kept overnight. She said Kush first physically assaulted her and then sexually assaulted her. The next afternoon, she escaped and reached a village road, where a local resident helped her get back to her father.

Haroli DSP Mohan Rawat confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused Kush and four unidentified individuals, with further legal action already initiated. “The culprits will face the strictest possible punishment,” he said.
