Cabinet sub-committee engages with employee unions to address key issues

A Cabinet sub-committee of the Punjab government, comprising Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, held a series of discussions on Thursday with representatives of various employee unions to address their concerns and demands. The unions involved included the Powercom C.H.B Lineman Theka Mulazan Union, the Sarb Sikhiya Abhiyan Mid-Day Meal Daftri Mulazam Union, and the Adarsh School Teaching Non-Teaching Mulazam Union. They presented detailed memorandums highlighting issues such as working conditions, job security, and other key grievances.

During the discussions, the ministers assured the union leaders that most of their demands were already under active consideration. They reiterated the government’s commitment to resolving legitimate concerns in a timely and effective manner. Union representatives expressed satisfaction with the meeting, acknowledging the government’s proactive stance and willingness to engage in dialogue. The discussions concluded with optimism for further action on the highlighted issues.

Among the Powercom C.H.B Lineman Theka Mulazan Union, State President Angrej Singh, General Secretary Rakesh Kumar, and other senior members led the delegation. Representatives from the Sarb Sikhiya Abhiyan Mid-Day Meal Daftri Mulazam Union included Kuldeep Singh and Rajinder Singh Sandha, while the Adarsh School Teaching Non-Teaching Mulazam Union was represented by State President Jasvir Singh Galoti and other senior leaders.
