Apple has begun sales of its iPhone 17 lineup in India, introducing the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with a redesigned body, longer battery life and the company’s new A19 Pro processor. The devices, built with aerospace-grade aluminium and a laser-welded vapor chamber, feature Super Retina XDR displays in 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch sizes, offering peak brightness of 3,000 nits, 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, and Ceramic Shield 2 on both sides.

Apple said the Pro models carry its most advanced camera system yet, combining three 48MP Fusion lenses with up to 8x optical-quality zoom, and a new 18MP front camera for sharper selfies and stabilised 4K HDR video. The phones also support professional content formats including ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2.

Connectivity is powered by the N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7, while fast charging delivers up to 50% charge in 20 minutes. The series was first unveiled on September 9 at Apple’s annual event, with pre-orders opening on September 12.

The standard iPhone 17, available in five colours, becomes the first non-Pro model to feature a 120Hz ProMotion display. Prices start at ₹82,900, while the new ultra-thin iPhone Air begins at ₹1.20 lakh. Alongside the iPhones, Apple introduced the AirPods 3 Pro (₹25,900) with real-time translation, heart-rate tracking and active noise cancellation, as well as new smartwatches: Watch SE 3 (₹25,900), Watch Series 11 (₹46,900), and Watch Ultra 3 (₹89,900) with satellite connectivity.

The iPhone 17 series is available via Apple’s website, Apple Stores, Flipkart and Amazon.
