A spokesperson for Yash Raj Films’ talent management wing on Tuesday rejected reports that Saiyaara actor Aneet Padda has been cast to portray legendary Bollywood star Madhubala in an upcoming biographical film.
Media reports had suggested that Padda, who rose to fame with YRF’s 2025 romantic blockbuster Saiyaara, would play the iconic actor in a biopic directed by Jasmeet K Reen, best known for the Darlings starring Alia Bhatt and Vijay Varma.
However, a spokesperson for YRF Talent, which represents Padda, issued a clarification saying the reports were “untrue”.
The film on Madhubala’s life was announced by Sony Pictures International Productions in March 2024. The project is being produced in collaboration with Brewing Thoughts Pvt Ltd and Madhubala Ventures, led by the late actor’s younger sister Madhur Brij Bhushan and Arvind Kumar Malviya.
