At the recently held Bollywood Hungama Style Icons Summit & Awards 2025, Aamir Khan spoke candidly about his admiration for his contemporaries Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Despite their iconic status as rivals on the big screen, the trio shares mutual respect off-screen, and Aamir took the opportunity to highlight some of his favourite performances from his fellow Khans.
When asked about the standout films of Salman and Shah Rukh, Aamir named Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dabangg as his favourites from Salman Khan’s filmography. On Shah Rukh Khan’s work, he mentioned the evergreen Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai as his top picks. Interestingly, Aamir also revealed that he has yet to watch Shah Rukh’s recent releases Pathaan and Jawan.
The camaraderie between the three superstars was evident recently when both Salman and Shah Rukh attended Aamir’s birthday celebration. Salman made a grand entrance with tight security, while Shah Rukh arrived quietly, avoiding the paparazzi.
In a previous interview on The Great Indian Kapil Show, Aamir had expressed his desire to collaborate with both Salman and Shah Rukh in a film. He mentioned that all three are eager to work together and are waiting for the right script and director to bring such a project to life.
Looking ahead, Aamir is gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports comedy-drama Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by R.S. Prasanna and starring Genelia Deshmukh, set to hit theatres on June 20. Salman Khan has an action drama lined up alongside Sanjay Dutt, and also Kick 2 in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is shooting for King, directed by Siddharth Anand, with a star-studded cast including Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, and Deepika Padukone, though the official cast list has yet to be announced.
